Teaching at The Helping House goes beyond traditional academic goals. In addition to age-appropriate learning, each student has a program that encompasses areas of deficit commonly seen in children with autism.
Some of these areas include communication skills, social skills, toileting, feeding, and basic life skills. Our daily program consists of highly-structured activities that encourage self-direction and independence while teaching new skills. Related services are provided on-site if the student qualifies.
